Dear Drumline Parents,

Welcome to the 2009 Drumline season!

This year we will be participating in three competitions: Feb. 28th, March 14th, and Finals April 25th – all competitions are held on Saturdays in the Bakersfield area. There will also be a performance at home on April 29th at 6:30 pm in the Burroughs gym.

Drumline practices will be on Wednesday nights from 6:00-9:00 pm and will always begin in the band room. There will not be practices during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks. Also, there will not be practice on Wednesday, December 10th, due to the Winter Band Concert.

There will be mandatory grade checks for Drumline members. The grade checks are due as follows: Jan 28th, Feb 25th, and April 1st. Students need to maintain a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average to participate and perform in Drumline.

The fee for participating in Drumline is going to be $50 per student ($25 for costumes and $25 for transportation). Students may pay their fee using money from their accounts or they can pay with cash or checks made payable to Burroughs Music Boosters.
